Our board-certified pediatricians, pediatric nurse practitioner and medical staff are experts in caring for the health needs of infants, children and young adults.

Our pediatricians provide the full range of pediatric care, including routine health checkups, vaccinations, vision and hearing screenings, and the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. We work with our patients and families to help manage chronic conditions and provide referrals to pediatric specialists when needed.

Contact Your Care Team

If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the hospital immediately. Otherwise, there are several ways that you can reach us:

  • If you need to speak with a nurse or have an urgent issue, please call our office at (805) 563-6211.
  • If you need to call after hours, you can speak to an RN who can assess symptoms and determine your best care option over the phone (805)566-5000.
  • If you are in need of urgent care and cannot wait for a call to be returned, go to Sansum Clinic's Urgent Care located at 215 Pesetas Lane. Walk up appointments are available from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm.
  • If you have a non-urgent question or are requesting a future, non-urgent appointment, please send us a MyChart message. We respond to MyChart messages within 48 hours at the latest.

COVID-19 & Children - What to do when your child has symptoms?

  • If your child is a patient of Sansum Clinic Pediatrics Department, call the Pediatrics office at (805) 563-6211 to provide background information. A nurse will contact you as soon as possible to schedule a COVID-19 test and evaluation, if needed.
  • If your child’s symptoms are concerning and you cannot wait for a call back, go to Urgent Care at 215 Pesetas Lane.
  • If you do not want to wait in person at Urgent Care, log on to MyChart to see if any Same Day Appointments are available. Once you are logged in, select "Visits", "Schedule an appointment", "Same Day Urgent Pesetas".
  • If your child is not a patient of Sansum Clinic Pediatrics Department, contact your pediatrician. If you do not have a pediatrician, Sansum Clinic's Urgent Care is an option for your.

COVID-19 Vaccines     

Covid-19 vaccines are recommended for all eligible children age 6 months and older. Sansum Clinic Pediatrics currently has the Pfizer vaccine for the 6 month - 4 years age range.  Vaccines will be available for all eligible children at their upcoming well-child visits. If you do not have an upcoming well-child appointment, we are planning the following COVID-19 vaccine clinics.  To schedule an appointment, please call us at (805) 563-6211.

  • Ages 6 months – 4 years old: Appointments available on Thursdays 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Ages 5- 11 years old: Appointments available on Wednesdays 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Ages 12+ years old: Appointments available on Fridays 1:30 – 4:30 pm

Flu Shots
